AI-assisted train tracking and maintenance system

Every train carries an RFID identity tag on its windscreen — the way a car carries a toll transponder — and from that identity the system follows where the train is, what it is doing and what maintenance it owes. Around a thousand people work in it at the same time; inside the maintenance depots they are reached on their phones.
