Air spring expansion test machine

An air spring is sold on a curve, not a dimension: how it behaves as it is compressed and released under pressure. That behaviour is what a vehicle engineer designs around, and the only way to know a batch matches it is to test it.

This machine runs adiabatic tests under controlled load and pressure, measuring the physical quantities through the test — pressure and force, volume and flow, diameter, height and weight — rather than sampling a start and an end point.

The results are reported in the customer format and written into the ERP record, so the test is part of the product history instead of a printout in a folder. When a customer asks what a serial number did on the bench, the answer exists.
