A service terminal is used in the one place a laptop should not be: leaning over a live cabinet, on a walkway, in the rain, being put down on whatever is nearest. It is dropped as a matter of routine.
This one is built for that. Rugged elastomer protection around the case, a touch service screen, and Ethernet, USB and serial ports so it can talk to the PLCs, drives and field devices an engineer will actually meet — not only the current generation of them.
GANI holds the mechanical, electronic and assembly production. Software imaging, serialization and an end-of-line test happen in production, so each terminal ships configured and identified rather than as a bare unit somebody has to commission on arrival.
