Steel wire winding machine
Automatic winding machine producing steel wire rings across a wide diameter range with a reserve buffer that keeps the next station fed.

What the machine does, and how it is run.
Steel wire rings are a component almost nobody notices and every rubber and hose plant depends on. They have to be round, they have to be to size, and they have to be there when the next station reaches for one.
This machine winds rings automatically across a 70 to 650 mm diameter range at roughly ten pieces per minute. The range matters: a plant making several product sizes would otherwise be changing over the ring machine every time the product changes.
It also carries a 400-piece automatic reserve stock. That buffer is what decouples the ring machine from the station it feeds — a changeover or a short stoppage on the winder does not immediately stop production downstream.
