Automatic sheet bending center

A part that needs six or eight bends in a defined order is where manual press-brake work becomes expensive. Every bend is a setup, the order matters because a later bend can make an earlier one unreachable, and the whole sequence has to be reproduced exactly the next time the part is run.

This CNC bending centre folds sheet parts through programmed multi-step profiles. The geometry and the bending sequence are set up graphically rather than as a list of coordinates, so the person programming the part is working with the shape they are trying to make.

Profiles are stored as recipes. Angles and forms repeat between runs, which is what makes a bent part usable in a series assembly instead of something that has to be fettled to fit.
