Air spring machine vision and data verification

Most shipping errors are not manufacturing errors. The part is right and the label is wrong, or a plug is missing, or the box holds the previous batch. The customer experiences all of them as a quality failure by the supplier.

This system checks the part immediately before shipment. It confirms the label is present and says the right thing, verifies threads and pitch and that plugs are fitted, reads barcodes and reads part numbers by OCR — and then checks what it read against the ERP and MRP data for that order.

That last step is the one that matters. A vision system that only inspects can tell you a label exists; a vision system tied to the order data can tell you it is the wrong label for this shipment, which is the failure that actually reaches the customer.
