Foam casting line

Foam casting is a timed chemistry. Once a mold is filled, the clock runs — and every mold in the plant is at a different point on that clock at any moment. Managing that by hand is what limits most casting shops.

This cell organises the mold stations in a carousel flow, with the process equipment arranged around the ring so each station meets each operation at the right point in its cycle. The stations are synchronized to one another rather than each being run on its own timer.

The layout is designed around the two things a foam cell has to get right at the same time: operator access, so the work can actually be done, and safety separation, so it can be done while the carousel is moving.
