4-axis packaging and palletizing robot

Palletizing by hand is the single most common cause of lost days in a packing hall. It is heavy, it is repetitive, and the pattern still has to be right, because a badly stacked pallet falls over in a truck.

This cell picks bagged or packed product off the conveyor with a four-axis robot and builds the pallet by layer pattern. Four axes is the right amount of machine for the job: a palletizing move needs position and rotation, not the full freedom of a six-axis arm, and the simpler kinematics are faster and cheaper to keep running.

The cell is guarded and comes with its own automation panel, so it drops into a line as a unit with a defined interface rather than as a robot somebody still has to integrate.
