Recycling a tyre means tearing it apart and then separating what comes out: rubber, steel and textile, each going somewhere different. The machinery is heavy, the loads are shock loads, and the material never arrives at a constant rate.

GANI was the electrical and electronic contractor for the line. Low-voltage distribution and a motor control centre feed drives for the shredders, conveyors and separators; the overhead carrier circuit that moves material between stages runs from the same control system, so transfers are coordinated rather than merely permitted.

A central operator station gives the plant overview, and an interlock and emergency-stop architecture ties it together — which in a plant full of shredders is not a formality but the reason a jam can be cleared without anyone being hurt.
