A medical waste plant does one thing that cannot be got wrong: it must not release a load that has not been sterilised. Everything else in the plant — the conveying, the shredding, the handling — is ordinary process engineering built around that single interlock.

GANI held the complete electrical and electronic scope. Low-voltage distribution and motor control, the autoclave control panels and their operator stations, and the pressure, temperature and level instrumentation the cycle is judged by. The door and cycle interlocks decide when a loaded vessel is allowed to open, and they are the part of the plant everything else defers to.

Every cycle is recorded, so each load leaves a record of the conditions it actually saw. For a plant whose output has to satisfy a regulator rather than a customer, that record is the product.
