# Conveyor winding machine

Some layered rubber products are built from three material streams at once: an inner rubber layer, a cord fabric that has to be opened out before it is laid, and an outer rubber layer. Bringing those together by hand is possible; bringing them together the same way every time is not.

This machine feeds all three on a conveyor-supported path. Inner rubber is fed in, the cord is opened and laid, the outer rubber closes the build, and the conveyor holds the layers in register through the winding operation.

The value is in the register. When the three streams arrive in a controlled relationship, the layered build is uniform along its length, and the product that comes out of the cure does not have to be sorted afterwards for a defect that was created at the layup.
