The problem with curing on a single station is that the press stands idle while it is being loaded, and loading a mandrel into a hot mold is not a fast operation. Adding a second press doubles the cost; keeping one press busy is cheaper.

Here the mandrels are loaded into a holder outside the machine, rotated 180 degrees into it, and moved by a travelling holder between a process zone and a reserve zone. While one set cures, the next is already prepared and waiting, and entry and exit transfers are controlled by the machine rather than timed by the operator.

The result is a cure station whose output is set by the cure time rather than by the handling around it, and an operator who loads at a bench instead of reaching into a press.

## Key features

- 180° rotating loading mechanism
- Travelling mandrel holder
- Separate process and reserve zones
- Controlled entry and exit transfer
