A concrete batching plant is commissioned on site, often in a hurry, by people who did not build its control panel. When the panels draw repeated commissioning complaints, the cost is not in the panel — it is in the days lost on site and the reputation lost with the customer.

This was a focused quality and documentation project rather than a supply contract. GANI went through the panel design, the build practice and the documentation the commissioning engineers actually work from, and fixed what was making site work slow and error-prone.

The deliverable is that the next plant commissions faster. Better-labelled panels, drawings that match what was built, and a build practice that produces the same panel every time — which is what turns a commissioning visit from an investigation into a checklist.

## Starting point

A batching plant manufacturer faced recurring commissioning complaints on exported plants: wiring deviations, missing test evidence and drawings that did not match the shipped panels. Their dealers were absorbing rework costs and escalating.

Panels were built in-house from partially updated drawings, with a visual check but no structured test or as-built documentation step.

## What we need from you

- Complaint records from dealers and site commissioning
- Current drawing set and panel BOMs
- Access to the panel shop and its build practice
- Export markets and applicable standards list

## Our scope

- Root-cause review of the complaint history
- Gap assessment of the panel shop against IEC 61439 practice
- Defined test and inspection plan with record templates
- As-built documentation loop closing drawings against shipped panels
- Training of the panel shop team and handover of the procedure

## Outcome

- Test and documentation procedure adopted as the shop standard
- Every shipped panel now accompanied by a signed test record
- Commissioning complaint stream cut off in the following quarters
- Follow-up audit agreed at twelve months
